We've been coming here for 10 years. the best chant in hobart. I strongly recommend ordering the freshly cooked menu on the wall, always delicious.
Surprisingly good. my partner and I had passed the chatterbox many times and dismissed it as cheap Asian eating event. we were wrong. we ordered the menu, not from the Jung-Marie. we sat at a beautiful place and the food came in a decent amount of time. my partner had a very spicy dish, so I didn't try it, but I had the pepper beef, which was amazing the service was super friendly and attentive without being over the top. I just wanted some glasses of water for the table. but there were drinks to buy.
If you're eating after spicy. there are actually some dishes from here that I don't like. but if they stay on the falcon menu, they will be good, especially if they like spicy.
For a quick bite at dinner chatterbox is as good as any other place. Offering basic dishes inspired by South East Asian, Singapore and Malaysian cuisine. I stopped in here with a friend one night as it recently received a favourable review in last weeks Mercury. I had a spicy prawn laksa which I must say was delicious, I wouldn't say the best in Hobart' as claimed, but very creamy, sweet and spicy from the fusion of coconut cream and chilies. It was a generous portion bulked up by thick egg noodles and fat juicy prawns. I'm keen to go back and try their soya duck noodle soup, along other classic soups such as wonton and tom yum.
