My boyfriend and I used to frequent Vic's restaurant. My favorite dishes were the chicken fried rice and the orange chicken. However, during my last visit, the food did not taste the same and the young girl working there was rude. She answered the phone and kept me waiting while she helped other customers. I hope they improve their service soon.
This restaurant prepares their vegetarian dishes poorly. The tofu is not cooked well and the flavor is questionable. A coworker was kind enough to buy me food from this place, but it resembled dog food and was not enjoyable to eat.
Oh, it's awful. there were around 17 o'clock. I ordered some items. about 15 minutes. the sweet and sour pork tastes and looks like it is covered in ketchup. the tom yum khai suppe is super sweet. the pad thai is bland and was served with a brown, reddish alk in half cut. the panang curry is also very bland. the steamed rice looks like a day old rice. About two hours after eating most of us had liked. would definitely never recommend.
Im 17. i have lived in the area my entire life with my family who's lived here since the 70s and have been coming here ever since. my grandpa knows the owner and his family and have his orders totally memorized. if u want just a solid place to get some easy food, vics is it. its nothing fancy, yes there is cement seating, etc. but what do u expect we r in NORTH HOLLYWOOD for pete's sake this isn't the hamptons! but i will always love this place from the bottom of my heart and how nicely they have treated my family and grandpa over the years. hes going to be 90 this year and they still write him nice notes on his plates/bags since he cant drive there himself anymore. on a relevant note, the pan fried glass noodles is amazing (i am a picky eater so simple rice meat/noodle dishes r my go-to's) and my grandpas favorites are their beef fried rice and their burgers. egg rolls r TO DIE FOR and the only ones i personally will eat at all. mom loves their grilled cheese sandwich w/ fries when shes feeling nostalgic, and u can't go wrong w/ a cold cup of thai tea. vics is the thai version of in-n-out when u come to the area, anyone who used to live here that has moved ALWAYS comes back for vics every now and then.
