The Centurion - North Kesteven

I am sat in the Centurion at the moment and ordered the Rump Steak. The Steak was all gristle I could only cut one very small piece off with the steak knife. When I told the server she said “well that’s what they send us I will pass the message on”. There was no offer to rectify the issue and she just walked away. Avoid!!!the food is not worth it and the service is poor. Only as we were leaving were we offered a complimentary dessert but as my meal had been spoiled we declined and left.

Very impressed with the Sunday roast dinner this evening, the roast gammon, big plate full of veggies potatoes and meat was superb. The vegetarian option, the wellington was tasty and filling, and the burger as usual perfect. The drinks, were lovely, the venue just right for family and staff courteous, and friendly we will be back for Sunday dinner !

Usually go there regularly and have a starter. This time embarked on a main meal being steak x2 and a pasta dish (Veg). Very disappointed, the 8oz steak was 4oz fat and gristle (both) and the pasta veggie was tasteless and seemed like the vegetables were from a can- well didn't taste of anything. Yes, very disappointed and complained spoke with the staff who shrugged it off. Drinks fine but not willing to spend on food.

The Centurion, located on Newark Road in Lincoln, is an excellent choice for lunch. It is advisable to make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment. We attempted to book a table a few weeks ago, but there were no openings for the day we desired. However, securing an early booking this week allowed us to enjoy a satisfying dining experience. The restaurant offers convenient parking, a diverse menu, prompt service, and reasonable prices. The ambiance is welcoming and friendly.

Had lunch with friends and enjoyed a couple of excellent pints of Red Giant. One friend had fish, another had scampi, and the third enjoyed lentil and squash soup - all pronounced their meals as good. I opted for the halloumi, portobello mushroom, and red pepper stack, which was excellent. Overall, it was a decent lunch for all of us.
