Contribuisci feedbackAuthentic and well priced! We were staying in the neighbourhood and were craving some Korean food and since Bapsang had the highest score, we gave it a try. We ordered ttugbaegi (hot pot) bulgogi stew with spicy kimchi, galbitang (beef bone soup), and beef japchae (stir fried sweet potato noodles). All were very good and tasted authentic! For the price, they were pretty generous with the meat portion. They forgot to gave us the utensils but that?s not a big deal. Definitely would come back if we?re in the area!
Everything was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the inside of this place is pretty! Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here with my sister. We will definitely be coming back!
Upon entering, we were seated right away but weren't given a menu. Five minutes later, another table of two arrived, and after a ten-minute wait, they received their menu before we did. Once we finally got the menu, we waited for a server to take our order, only to watch as the table that came in after us was attended to first. After we finally placed our order, we waited around 20-30 minutes, only to be served a dish we hadn't ordered. That's when they realized they had completely forgotten to process our order. While they did apologize for the oversight, by that point, the people who arrived after us were already finishing their entrees, and we hadn’t even received our appetizer. After another 10-15 minutes, we finally got our food. I must say, the food here is excellent; from the appetizers to the entrees, I genuinely have no complaints about the quality or taste. I finished my meal, but my friend still had about half of hers left. When we received the bill, the server didn't even check if we were done, despite my friend’s plate still being nearly full. We wanted dessert but had to wait for the server to return before we could place that order. In summary, while the food was outstanding, the service we experienced was quite disappointing. It felt as though we were overlooked and forgotten during our visit.
I had a fantastic experience with the Dumpling Soup. I asked for soy sauce since it's not provided on the tables, and they brought out a wonderful soy sauce from the kitchen—much better than the usual packets. It really elevated the flavor of the soup. The sweet and spicy fried chicken wings were also delightful. The restaurant is cozy, with about eight tables, and the service was attentive, all while keeping the place clean and tidy.
The food here is absolutely amazing! This was my third visit, and it’s been a few years since I last came. I've always been impressed, but they’ve only gotten better since then. I love exploring new dishes, and tonight I tried the original soft tofu stew, which was outstanding. As a meat lover, I usually don’t have a fondness for tofu, but the soft tofu in this dish practically melts in your mouth. It's flavorful without being overly salty, and just spicy enough to make my nose run. Paired with rice and various side dishes, it created a thoroughly satisfying meal. I could go on and on about it! There are many excellent Korean restaurants in Providence, but Bapsang is definitely worth the trip outside the city. I plan to keep returning until I’ve tried everything on the menu. I would be heartbroken if they ever closed!
