Tabanka A Trini Kitchen

Tabanca is the place to go for Trinidadian food when in South Florida. The ambience of the restaurant feels like home. There is artwork from various artists hanging in the restaurant and that gives a homey vibe. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with relics of Trinidad. The customer service is excellent. There is a family feel and the staff are friendly and attentive. The doubles here are very good and have great flavor and taste. I would highly recommend Tabanca for Trinidad delicacies and food items.

Ordered roti and doubles to be picked up. Got there and was told it's all in the bag. Usually I'd check but trying to save time I didn't. Got home and doubles wasn't in the bag. When I called they knew exactly who I was because the girl immediately apologized for the error. She offered a refund but I asked if I could just have it when next I came which she agreed. Visited almost three weeks after and the same woman was there and as I began explaining myself there was instant recognition. Ate our doubles there and as usual it was great!Absolutely wonderful service!Vegetarian options: There are lots of things like pumpkin, spinach, tomatoes so vegetarians shouldn't be afraid to try it out.

Doubles are really good. Big No for me for the roti. The goat was very tough and not well seasoned. There was a need for more seasoning in the curry. Buss up shot was also a pass for me.

Bake and Shark was delicious. The doubles and roti both wrapped and unwrapped were delicious as well. I felt like I was in Trinidad walking in! Thank you for a delicious lunch

I ordered the crab and dumplings, doubles, aloo pies, and a vegetable combo, and I couldn't wait to experience the crab and dumplings since I had never tried them before—they were absolutely delicious! The doubles and aloo pies were also great, and I loved that the aloo pies actually contained aloo! The service was outstanding from everyone, and the atmosphere was so relaxed and welcoming. I can't wait to return and try the shark and bake! See you all soon!
