Beautiful location, eating, service and atmosphere were beautiful. recommend the puddings. with her in the house made ice creams. dog-friendly and transsafe.
We were returning from Wells-next-the-Sea and looked up good food pubs. The Dunstable Arms came up with great reviews of the food and service. We stopped off for dinner and we weren't disappointed but totally taken away with the the food, and the welcome from the staff. I recommend this pub to anybody in that area.
We went here because we enjoyed it so much earlier in the week. during this visit was eating really top class and the service of the 2 ladies was very friendly and welcoming. This time we were a little disappointed. the 2 lads were friendly and service was good, but they seemed a bit stretched. that was not what we hoped. maybe we had high expectations. it was cooked to perfection, but everything was torn with balsam glaze. the sauces were already a little too sweet and the glaze, also very sweet, it simply took over the edge. on the chicken brought a dosis salt down the sweet to make sure it was pleasant. the mushrooms, with the glaze, sweet brioche and sweet sauce (same basic as huh) was like eating a desert (which I finally enjoy it like.) the fish cake was well cooked, but there was missing something. not sure what.. and the glaze above did not help. but I will say that eating the children was great and they loved it. and earlier in the week, the lamb was exquisite ameise the fish cooked to perfection. not all bad and deserves a visit safe. I would like to know if the cook was different on Friday than on Monday.
Great home cooked food. reasonable prices. obviously not advertising enough (no website! . but don't miss them.
