Sandy Hills - North Norfolk

We had an unexpected surprise during our first visit to Sea Palling on the Norfolk coast. While taking a drive, we stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe situated along the beach. The cafe offers a number of cute huts where you can sit and have your food brought to you. We decided to try the hot, freshly cooked doughnuts, which were absolutely amazing. The menu had a great variety of options and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were extremely friendly, making our stop at the cafe an enjoyable experience. We will definitely be returning in the future.

I was saddened to read some shocking reviews about this place. The staff was so welcoming and helpful and this place was so dog friendly which is fantastic. It is a wonderful restaurant for relaxing by the sea. Please see for yourself prices are fair and reasonable nothing is overpriced the donuts bought back childhood memories

This place is the one, I’ve visited on three separate occasions over a variety of years and wow! Thats all I can say. My most recent visit I brought three of their thick shakes and what can I say other than buy buy buy!! Every evening on my evening walk I dream of buying them and especially now that I am away and cannot buy one until the following year I want them even more. The staff are very very friendly and I feel for them as they have to deal with some horrible people but alas they keep their heads up and keep on working hard. The doughnuts are normally cooked fresh to order unless you order at the busy times but then they’ve only been made a couple of seconds before you walk through the door. A massive thank you to all the staff in there your a credit to the business and a credit to sea paling! See you next year! I’m ready for another thick shake…

We were blown away by how good The Sandy Hills cafe/takeaway was! We first trialled their bag of hot ring doughnuts £3 for five) which were freshly cooked to order and made for a great snack for the nearby beach. We returned later in the week for their burgers and they also far exceeded expectations with regards to value, choice, freshness, taste and quality. The cafe and the adjoining amusement arcade appeared to be staffed solely by youngsters and they were all doing a damn fine job.

The best staff! All so friendly and helpful and the food was great. Special mention to the guys in the arcade. We were stayed down the road so my boys visited the arcade every day, the guys were fabulous with them! Highly recommend!
