Authentic and original pub which is like stepping back into the past. Very welcoming with a great array of ales and ciders! Friendly bar staff and a great atmosphere.

Great pub ; good food; fantastic real ale and cider . Staff lovely. Children and Dog friendly . Worth a trip. We visited twice.

The Nelson Head is an authentic pub that has been serving delicious, homemade, hearty food for a long time. It caters to both locals and visitors, with walls adorned with memorabilia and local items of interest. They offer a wide selection of ales and ciders, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the liver and bacon dish with mashed potatoes and peas, which was perfection. My husband struggled to finish his generous portion of scampi, which was the largest we had ever seen. The food was great value for money and perfect for a winter's day. The pub is dog-friendly and has an inviting open fire to relax next to. It is conveniently located near Horsey Gap beach, making it a great stop before or after a visit to the beach. It's no wonder this pub was recommended to us - we will definitely be returning.

The pie was really good. The staff was attentive. The restaurant was busy during Sunday lunchtime. The atmosphere was nice. They had plenty of ales and ciders available. It would have been excellent if there were more options for vegetables and desserts.

Excellent place to drop in when visiting the Norfolk coast. The fish and chip lunch is quality, and for us possibly a little to much quantity, many would be very happy with portion size. Excellent choice of real ales and ciders.
