Super Pollo - North Quincy Street

I have never felt more compelled to leave a review for a restaurant's food before. It was truly incredible. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The green rice with onion and tomato salad was a great accompaniment. I will definitely be coming back as a repeat customer. Rating: 5 out of 5.

I got to-go quarter white and white rice with black beans plantains for $20 total with tip they don’t ask for and the food was the bomb!!! The chix was perfectly seasoned and flavored all the way to the bone LAWD was it juicy too!!! The rice n beans has wonderful flavor and texture for being “rib” rice(long grain) it was surprisingly moist(lol), sorry lol. I get plantains at any Spanish joint to really test quality these ones were some of the best around. I LOVE little unknown hole-in-the-wall type joints bc they ALWAYS have the best food!!!! This place DOES NOT disappoint!!!I didn’t rate the atmosphere bc I did take-out but I would say it’s simple satisfying.

The chicken is ok, not the best. A little more expensive than other restaurants in the area with better flavor. The service is definitely the worst. They’re absolutely rude. NO CONTACTLESS PAYMENT? Really?Food: 3/5

I can't imagine how my fellow meat-eaters manage to live without access to delicious Peruvian chicken. Super Pollo is consistently good and quick. My go-to order is usually a whole chicken with various sides like fried yuca, sweet plantains, black beans, and chickpeas - my personal favorites. While I have tried some other dishes, the chicken is what I keep coming back for. And don't forget the alfajores! I appreciate that they offer mini versions so I can enjoy a little cookie treat. If you're a fan of Peruvian chicken, you won't be disappointed here. The prices are reasonable - $40 is enough for a family of four with possible leftovers. I usually opt for takeout, even though there is ample seating inside the restaurant.
