I had heard on social media, Brothers Bistro was a nice place to go close to home. So why not! We were not disappointed!!! The staff greeted us as we walked in and seated ourselves. Our lovely waitress answered all our questions regarding the restaurant and the menu. I had their biscuits gravy with coffee and a single pancake. My husband had country fried steak with orange juice and a single pancake. The coffee was perfectly brewed and the orange juice was refreshing. Portions were generous. The hashbrowns were crispy and the eggs cooked a perfect over-medium. The biscuits were homemade and smothered in delicious sausage gravy. The country fried steak was tender and also smothered in the same sausage gravy. But our favorite thing was the pancake!!! It was like eating dessert! They were fluffy with a very noticeable taste of vanilla. Delightful!! Please give Brothers Bistro a try! You won't go away hungry!
VERY close to the Gateway Trail in North St. Paul (totally bikeable)-how have I never heard of this little bistro? Unpretentious and perfect breakfast spot-this is a little gem for all types but ESPECIALLY the biker! Breakfast all day? Yes, indeed! Reasonably priced and quick service? Yes, indeed! Our bicycle group landed here after a late morning bike ride on the Gateway. The service was excellent and a good value. They are only open until 2pm but they stayed open for us and didn't hurry us out of the restaurant. THIS will be our next bike-to-breakfast spot on the Gateway!
Newer place, feels like they are still working out some kinks. Food is good, service can be better/faster (only one server and two in the kitchen) especially for a Saturday morning. We had omelets and biscuits and gravy, omelets were good, biscuits and gravy was good but needs more gravy in the plating. Pricing was appropriate if not a little less than expected.
One of my favorite local take-out places! The Penne Pasta has a delicious sauce that tastes homemade and fresh. The vegetables on the burgers and elsewhere are also fresh. And the fries are even delicious!
I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried on the menu. I kept trying different things each visit, but I’m starting to circle back to the biscuits gravy; these are the best I’ve found in the upper Midwest! Something about the lightly crisped-up buttermilk biscuits. Add a side of sausage patties, it’s the best.
