What is not to love?! in the two weeks we had the following: starter • garlic mushroom • bruschetta • falafel • nachos mains • sincean parmesan • moussaka • jackfruit wrap with chunky chips • lasagna pudding • chocolate amaretto cheesecake all absolutely delicious!
We just had a starter from vegan chili afteros, extremely good. it was apple and violife mix. but was nicely melted. had lenses moussaka for pornstars that was nice, not as good as the starter, but still good, charging by cheese. service was great. so many vegan and vegetarian options available meant that we did not choose as in most restaurants and a good variation. all chicken dishes can be prepared with a request. only at the bottom was that they were out of the desert I wanted. they gave me vegan chocolate ice cream instead of that was not on the menu so that was good.
Beautiful, friendly bistro in the heart of whitley bay. we visited during the vegan restaurant week as the online menu was so appetizing and ordered 3 courses for a bargain 17. from the starters we got the broken plant tempura with coriander hummus and spinat, garlic and cashew nuts ravioli with spinat, walnut and chili pesto. both starters were deliciously fresh and tasteful. for the net I ordered the Lensmoussaka with grilled aubergines, béchamel sauce, garlic bread and some of the best melted free of cheese I have ever tasted while my wife got the veg-pie with veg, kartoffel and onion-gred. again, both dishes were absolutely excellent. the quality has not stopped. the sticky toffee pudding was the sky and the coconut toffee sauce was to die while the amaretto and chocolate mousse cake was divine. let them hope that the success of the vegan week will be some of these dishes the regular menu.
My family and I have visited this restaurant two weekends in a row and we have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. There are so many options to choose from, the staff are very friendly, and it is a wonderful social enterprise for the community. What's not to love?! In the two weeks that we have visited, we have tried the following vegan dishes: Starters - garlic mushrooms, bruschetta, falafel, nachos Mains - seitan Parmesan, moussaka, jackfruit wrap with chunky chips, lasagna Dessert - chocolate amaretto cheesecake Everything we have tried has been absolutely delicious!
We recently tried the vegan chilli nachos as a starter and they were fantastic. We could tell it was a mix of applewood and violife cheese, and it was perfectly melted. For our main course, we had the lentil moussaka which was good, although not quite as amazing as the starter. There was plenty of cheese on top, which was a nice touch. The service was excellent and we were impressed by the wide range of vegan and vegetarian options available. We were happy to learn that all chicken dishes could be made with seitan upon request. The only downside was that they were out of the dessert I wanted, but they kindly offered me a vegan chocolate ice cream instead. Overall, a great dining experience.
