Multi-alcoved hostelry, newly and stylishly decorated (lighting echoed Tynemouth station with pools of light with outside seating along Front Street. Greeted warmly, order taken swiftly and coffee made on the turn. Just as I was wondering how long my food order would take, three plump crumpets arrived, pipping hot with softened butter and a pot of raspberry jam (yay!! seedless! . Gentle Samba beat music in the background that I didn't wish they'd turn down! An enjoyable first visit...I'll be back for an average-priced Eggs Royale...
After visiting Tynemouth station market, went in for some late breakfast. Excellent choice of food. Not massive portions, but lovely food. Tempted too pop back for a Sunday lunch
The staff here are incredibly friendly, but the restaurant is not yet fully accessible for individuals with disabilities. The cocktails are delightful, and the personnel were attentive, offering us table service and even bringing the card machine to us. However, I faced a significant issue as there was no disabled restroom available, which meant I was unable to use the facilities. I had to rely on the assistance of a young caregiver, without whom I would have been in a tough spot. Additionally, it would be great if they could modify the entrance so that we don't have to navigate around the bins.
This is a well-managed and roomy pub/restaurant. The dining experience is excellent, featuring a fantastic vegetarian menu. The staff is friendly, attentive, and cheerful, which really enhances the experience. It's a wonderful place, and we will definitely be back!
