Joes Chinese - North Tyneside

Found this place while looking on Google maps so decided to have a look. Rang at 7pm and arrived by 7:30 (they close at 9) . Place was really quiet, only 2 other people eating. Given a menu a special menu. We opted for the special. Both had veggie spring rolls , both had spicy chilli sauce, the Mrs opted for chicken, I asked for veggie which was no problem. Fried rice boiled rice or chips is also included. Also asked for a bottle of wine. Food was very good! Portion size was perfect. The place is a little dated but I don't spend long looking at wallpaper! We paid a total of £30, £10 of which was the bottle of wine! Can't argue with the price! Service was one lady who takes all takeaway orders, deals with customers and does the cleaning but she is lovely so all in really pleased to have found this place. Will definitely return!

Very good quality food,reasonably priced, and have takeaways, as well as a few tables to eat in. I think that they do deliver now,but not a 100% sure

So, myself and my son were pondering what to have to eat on Friday 8th April. I said, we should order from Joe's, as couldn't be bothered to cook. I had house special in Szechuan, and my son had house special chow mein, Singapore style. Ordered around 6pm, and was ready very quickly to collect, and it was, once again, fabulous. The best Chinese in North Shields area, full stop!

The food at this restaurant is excellent. The crispy dishes are perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean and well-maintained.

I recently organized a family gathering and decided on Chinese cuisine as the preferred choice. In North Shields, there are various takeaways available, including fast food options. After noticing a decline in quality at our usual spot, I opted to try Joe's, a restaurant I had enjoyed previously. I visited Joe's to inquire about placing a large order with 24 hours notice for a 6pm pickup, paying in advance. They were accommodating and agreed to my request. I provided a written breakdown of the order, requesting labeled bags, which they happily provided. Upon collection, everything was prepared as promised, with the added touch of labels on each bag. The food was a hit with everyone, including some picky eaters, and we only had a small amount of rice and chips left at the end of the night due to the generous portions. Overall, Joe's has become my new favorite restaurant/takeaway in North Shields. Thank you, Joe's, for making our night special!
