Room 305 - North Tyneside

One of our favourites in Whitley Bay. The salads are very good value. We particularly like the orzo salad. On this occasion, I had the Greek Salad, which has generous amounts of feta. Others in my party chose the small plates. There’s a good variety of dishes to choose from and all we had were delicious. Good table service with pleasant and helpful staff. Ideal for a lunch with friends/family or just a leisurely coffee. The cakes are pretty good too!

This restaurant used to have an amazing vegetarian vegan menu. I ordered the Mediterranean Platter. Half the plate was chips and rice. Hardly any pitta to have with the houmous. Practically zero green stuff. A small bowl of aubergine something just didn’t go with the rest of the plate. I hardly ate anything. Please go back to your old menu. It was awesome. I have no interest in a plate of carbohydrates. I can get that from a chip shop.

Gorgeous food, reasonably priced and you get plenty of it. It came out quickly too. Nice relaxed vibe. However as someone else has said, the staff, whilst friendly enough when sitting you, taking your order and paying the bill, were completely missing and unattentive during the meal, ie if you had wanted another drink you would have had to go and order it yourself, which obviously isn't a hardship but at the same time you shouldn't have to. And if you had had a problem with your meal, you would have had to seek someone out. I definitely would have given 5 stars if the service had been better.

Really tasty and delicious lunch. Nice ambience; good service. Colourful and comfortable interior. Loved all the extra touches with the plates, mugs, etc. Will be back to try out other menu choices.

Eaten here several times over the years and the food is always freshly made, totally tasty and top notch. Staff are welcoming and efficient. Recommend highly.
