Well I shall start this off with my total upset at the whole experience I often visit sambuca but won't be visiting this one again. First of all we odered muscles in a tomato and chilly sauce and what come was lemon and butter sauce that was returned and tomato was just added that made them taste to the point you point you couodnt really eat them then come the fillet steak the main with chunky chips that where equivalent to a crack heads teeth the where just so hard and jaggared the vinegar wouldn't even take to them and you couldn't even eat them the fillet had a very strange taste to it as if it was left out just didnt taste right at all well to be honest thst was my first and last time ill be visiting this place what a regret I wish I never tried the place.
Nice attentive staff, good choice of food and hot as it ought to be. Now a regular visitors as a couple and friends. Lots of competition in the area but for us this is our favourite by far.
We went today for Sunday lunch. This is the worst Sunday dinner we have ever had. The mash (if that’s what you call it) wouldn’t even be served to prisoners, it had a skin on it and had more lumps than mashed. Carrots were stale, infact the only nice bit on the plate was the meat and Yorkshire. I waited until they came to clear our plates before letting them know the dinner was awful and the worst we’ve ever had! The waitress heard me but didn’t even acknowledge me, just cleared the plates and sent someone else with the bill straight away. I have been a couple of times previously and ate from the normal menu with no issues but certainly won’t be returning ever again. As you can see the majority of the dinner was left… and yes that’s a dandelion in it too
Another visit to a different Sambuca in our area did not let us down. This was one of the best visits we have had to any. This was due to the friendly, accommodating waiting on staff and the lovely freshly cooked food. We only had main courses, all chicken dishes but 3 different ones, all the same quality and flavours. All delicious. Hand cut chips and a selection of veggies were also of a high standard. The prices in any Sambuca are always competitive by that I mean cheap and of a great standard. They have got their market just right everywhere in all of their restaurants we have been to. £46 for 3 drinks and 3 main courses was excellent value for quality food, delivered by young polite lads and lasses. Just great.
