We thought that the size of kids burger is ridiculous! Should write slider on the menu so people know what to expect. We won't be rushing back for food, we'll stick to drinks and the Salty Dog crisps! Bar area has better atmosphere than restaurant we find. Shame it's not better as it is nice to have a dog friendly pub on the seafront. Much prefer Kittiwake pub for food and atmosphere.
Chip shop attached to the pub was closed due to “staffing issues”…… it should have remained closed in my view instead of the bar trying to provide a substitute take away service. My husband and I ordered takeaway chips and a takeaway sausage and chips. The hardest chips we’ve ever had!! Rock hard like “dogs nails” absolutely awful. I took them back into the restaurant, who were happy to replace them with a fresher “softer” portion…….:. Still awful unfortunately. Stay clear if the takeaways very poorly cooked and definitely not worth the money that was charged!!
Appalling service. Waited 1 hour 20 minutes for mains to be served. No communication/ explanation from staff or manager. Will not be back or recommend!!!!
£14.95 for a beef Sunday lunch. Veg only consisted of 2 roast potatoes, 5 tiny carrots and a small amount of cabbage. Completely overpriced. Go to Shiremoor Farm for a Sunday lunch which is 100% better.
We called in for lunch. It was quite busy. It is a huge place. The menu was reasonable but quite pricey. No ales available just some quirky youthful beers. Staff were not paying attention to their customers being more concerned with nattering. They were not very busy but not that quiet! Maybe they are poorly trained or badly coordinated
