It is a not-for-profit establishment that supports individuals with Autism and/or learning difficulties by providing employment opportunities. We tried two sandwiches - a delicious Panini with high-quality ham and a lovely egg mayonnaise sandwich on granary bread. The chocolate cake we shared was fantastic, and we enjoyed two flavorful bean coffees, all for less than £10! Considering the excellent quality for the price, this café is definitely a standout in Tyneside. The homemade scones and soups were also top-notch. The café is child-friendly and features a sensory room, which we really appreciated. The décor is charming and authentic. My only suggestion for improvement would be to provide a few magazines for added relaxation. We will definitely be returning to this gem of a café.
Located in North Shields, this charming cafe always greets you with a warm welcome. The upstairs tot spot is perfect for young children.
I had visited the Tea Room downstairs before and noticed the play area upstairs when I went to the restroom. I decided to bring my grandson as a special treat. He had a fantastic time in the play area, dressing up and playing with the inflatable animals. It was hard to convince him to leave and join me for lunch in the Snug, which is located next to the play area. I was pleasantly surprised by the affordable prices for lunch for the both of us. It turned out to be a budget-friendly day out for me, as the playtime was complimentary. My grandson is already asking when we can go back again, maybe his mom can take him next time.
Visited this tea room after a visit to my favorite card shop. Just popped in for a coffee but was tempted by the victoria sponge cake. When I went upstairs to the loo I was amazed by the childrens play area and party area. I will definately be back with my grandchildren. I took a piece of quiche home for my tea.
