Big Bite Donair - North Vancouver

After a 3 hour visit to Lynn Canyon my friends and we’re really hungry and stopped by this little restaurant. The young man working, just him, an Iranian native, did everything he could to makes us comfortable. We were offered to taste the 8 levels of hot sauces, all homemade by his account. I ordered the beef Donair plate. All was good enough except for the rice that had no flavour at all, like it must have been cook without any salt at all yet you can fix that with a pinch or it. My friend’s chicken donair wrap was delicious she says. Totally recommend it.

The owner is a super nice and great guy! He loves to make good food and takes pride in the providing quality meals to his customers! He made me some special fries that isn't on the menu... fries with garlic and hot sauce! It sounds weird but it tastes awesome !

We stopped in after a long hike in Lynn Canyon. We had read the amazing reviews online and I now completely understand why. The owner was such a kind and lovely person showing the greatest pride in his food. He provided many samples so we could decide what to order, and we were impressed with how clean the restaurant was. On top of the 5 star service, the food was excellent. Great flavours, fresh and high quality produce. He and his wife also make their own homemade hot sauces which we all wanted to buy and take home with us! I can’t wait to go back truly a hidden gem in North Van.

This is one of the best Donair shops I’ve eaten at. Having tried numerous foods and restaurants in the area this place is one that never disappoints! I’ve tried the chicken donair, beef donair, butter chicken, as well as the beef tikka kebab special. All of the dishes have wonderful flavour combinations and are freshly made. They also offer lamb dishes which I’m sure are at the exact same standard. Overall excellent place and a must try!!
