We arrived late in the day so most of the doughnuts were sold out. We were able to snag one of the last crueller and Apple fritter. They sold out shortly after us. The crueller is 100 times better than the one at Tim?s and I?m not a big Apple fritter fan but I really enjoyed these. Sorry I only took a video of the food and not pics and I couldn?t find how to upload it.
I finally got to stop by and it did not disappoint! Come early as it got busy quickly... I got the OG chicken sandwich and it was amazing. Thick, juicy and crispy chicken, potato bun, lots of sauce, pickles, and cheese. My fiancé got the hot chicken sandwich and it had a really good spice level. He didnt think it would be that spicy but he stood corrected ???? Tater tots were delicious too, and so were the donuts. We only got 2 since we ate there and we wished we had gotten a box of them to sample the different flavors. The decor is very nice and the space is bright. We will definitely come back and try out their other donuts (and grab more sandwiches). Very happy with this cool new spot on Lonsdale!
Believe the hype! The donuts really are that good. Best glazed donut I have ever had, by a long shot. The brioche donuts are very fluffy and delicious. The spicy chicken sandwiches are super yummy as well, along with the macaroni salad and the slaw! They have some crazy delicious mayo or some type of sauce used for the dressing that makes these salads much better than average. I got there a few minutes before they opened on a Wednesday morning, just one person was in line ahead of me. They were prepped and ready to go with lots of chicken and donuts, I only had to wait about 5 minutes for my hot food to be ready. Definitely check this place out, it's worth it. Excellent and very friendly service from the staff there as well.
These donuts are absolutely off the hook! They are fried but light, and the classic flavours as well as the fancier ones are all delicious. I love that they're baked fresh throughout the day; often when you buy them they are still warm. I hope one day the website will include a list of all their rotating flavours? it's hard to remember what I got when I don't have anything to reference, plus I want to make sure to one day try them all! But if you're only getting one, make it the raspberry jelly. I also tried the Cajun chicken sandwich for the first time and the chicken was perfectly crispy and seasoned, and I loved the amount of pickles. I do recommend eating the sandwich ASAP though, or the bun can get a little limp. The shop is always busy, particularly on the weekends, so get there early if you want to be sure you have your pick of donut flavours. It's worth the lineup though, either way!
My family and I made a trip out to North van for the sole purpose of visiting this donut shop since we had heard good things about it. The staff were super friendly and the owner Erin (hope I'm spelling that right) was a delight to talk to. An owner who is genuinely passionate about serving the community. The donuts were yummy as well. Personally my favorite was the cruellers. My wife enjoyed the other donuts such as glazed because it was less sweet. Understand that depending on if you like it super sweet or not will dictate which donut you prefer more. What was the most surprising for me was the fried chicken. I was not expecting much from a donut shop but man... I loved the fried chicken. I will have to come back to try the Nashville chicken sandwich sometime soon. If it is your first time you may find it hard to find the place as it is in the back alley area vs front of street. Very cute hole in the wall style business. Clean inside and outside. The decor is also quite nice and creative. Overall I enjoyed my experience and will definitely return the next time I am in north van.
