I prefer carnitas and al pastor. There are other tasty Mexican dishes available as well. Place itself is very small, staff is very friendly. I do recommend.
So good! Must try. Only problem is the decor and setting. It's quite a small and simple store but who cares when the food is so good!
No real need to review this amazing little gem:) This sweet taco stand is in the middle of a commercial area but that doesn't stop hundreds of dedicated customers from flocking to this fab eatery! My fave is the Carnitas! Of course, who doesn't love pork! La Taqueria now serves Burrito's as well...Bring your appetite! It's gigantic! For smaller appetites, enjoy their tacos as you can order as many or as little as you like:) Make your way to this friendly, tasty place and you won't be disappointed! Ps...Try all of their salsas...Dee-lish!
Finally, La Taquería is now in North Vancouver. It offers quite a variety of tacos and quesadillas that are very authentic tasting, even for someone who grew up in Mexico. This is the sixth Taquería in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver, and I believe there's another one in Victoria, BC.
We arrived about 12:30 on a Thursday during a brief lull in an otherwise busy lunchtime. We were able to find 5 seats at the long counter height table and ordered some guacamole and chips with a side of pico de gallo. Fresh and delicious but could use a more generous serving of chips! Helped ourselves to the refrigerated beverages while we looked over the menu. Lots of specials to check out as well as the daily menu; we ended up ordering 3 different tacos - beer battered cod (a special), a chicken chorizo, and a vegetarian taco, plus a flank steak quesadilla. Tacos are very small (a regular serving might be 3-5 per person) . . but so delicious. They are great as is but there are 4 different sauces you can add (mild-hot) and some pickled jalapeños and onions. If you like Ginger the ginger beer was delicious too! It's the only place in Vancouver I've seen so many spanish speaking people outside of summer at Honey's in the Cove! Lovely service, with several people checking to make sure we were happy with the food! Great for a casual quick authentic Mexican experience!
