If you're Asian, it's definitely worth a visit to experience genuine Korean food. However, if you're not Asian, you might prefer the restaurant next door called Maru, which offers a more Western-style take on Korean dishes.
The Korean sausage soup is delicious. The restaurant is quite small, so there's usually a line, especially during peak meal times. It is a bit on the pricier side, but among all the places that serve Korean sausage soup, this one is definitely top-notch.
The building is a bit unusual, with businesses both above and below ground. South Castle is located right in the center of this image, nestled between Weeds Glass Gifts (a bit ironic) and Coral Court Szechuan Cuisine. Horizon Spa Massage and MiMo Hair are actually located downstairs. If you happen to drive by, you might overlook this restaurant since its English name isn't very noticeable.
This is what I'd imagine real korean soondae tastes like. My korean friends took me here and I can not forget how good it tastes. The atmosphere is pretty gloomy but with friends it was fine. Definitely coming back.
Can't wait to go back!. My Korean friend took me here and got me hooked on their soup. So delicious!!!!!!
