We ordered three items from the menu: the pomfret in Maggi sauce (which was good), the braised tofu with mushrooms (also good), and the Hainanese chicken (not recommended - it was served cold). They attempted to reheat the chicken, as it had been prepared earlier, but it still wasn't warm enough. We noticed the lunch menu and are considering giving it a try next time.
The dim sum at this restaurant was not good. I can't speak for the other dishes, but I would recommend avoiding the dim sum. It did not taste fresh and seemed store-bought. The steamed pork was difficult to chew and the dumplings smelled burned. As frequent dim sum eaters, this was our first disappointing and overpriced experience.
This Asian restaurant is our family's favorite on the Shore when we don't feel like crossing any bridges. Our mom, who is Asian herself, is very particular about authentic Cantonese food and she gives this place her seal of approval! We have dined here so many times that the server knows our order by heart. Our overall rating is 4 out of 5, with 5 being the best. The food gets a 4 out of 5 - we have our go-to dishes like spicy deep fried pork spareribs, sweet and sour chicken, and cod with broccoli. As for value, we give it a 5 out of 5 for the generous portions at good prices. The location is convenient with a 5 out of 5 rating, just off Pemberton Marine Drive across from Shell. The ambience is clean and decent, earning a 4 out of 5. Service is top-notch, with a 5 out of 5 rating for great service. We usually dine in for dinner, and the free parking nearby is a plus. They also offer takeout for those who prefer to enjoy their delicious food at home.
I ordered 2dinners on Skip the dishes and included specific requests/directions for the dishes and neither was provided. A red curry was requested and a yellow curry was delivered, and it was weird to say the least! The Pad Thai dish was spicy as opposed to mild spice requested. This dish was not enjoyed and had very little resemblance to an authentic pad thai. I do not recommend this restaurant if you want Thai food!
Wife and I visited restaurant for dinner. Ordered the Fillet of Sole with Seasonal Vegetables, Chinese Mushroom Over Vegetables and Shrimp Fried Rice. The food was plentiful and very flavourful. We had to take almost half of it home. The price was very reasonable. Would definitely visit again
