They truly do it right—perfectly deep-fried and seasoned, it’s almost like they intend for you to burn your mouth and fingers because nothing comes out cold except the beer! 2) **Clean Restrooms**: It might not seem important to everyone, but trust me, it is! 3) **Lively Atmosphere**: The bar patrons are loud, and the jukebox music is cranked up. If you have an issue with that, then this isn’t the place for you; these lively regulars are a constant presence! 4) **Worn Booths**: The big booths on one side might be a bit torn, but that doesn’t bother us at all. They add to the dive bar charm! 5) **Excellent Service**: The staff is always cheerful and friendly. If I hadn't been visiting since my twenties, I might not have thought to stop in, but that would be a real shame. So next time you’ve spent an afternoon shoveling snow or mowing the lawn, and you just don’t feel up to cooking, treat yourself to something delicious at Hurricane Alley. Oh, and their Stuffed Banana Peppers and Cole Slaw are must-tries! Not every place gets slaw right—it's creamy but not swimming in dressing and cut into generous pieces. While I'm not wishing for more snow to shovel, just thinking about those Wings and Rings might actually make me want to mow the lawn!
There’s a new owner who seems quite friendly, but when it comes to the food, my experiences have been disappointing. Every time I order takeout, it’s been really unappetizing. I recently tried their prime rib dinner, and it was a huge mistake—unless you enjoy eating something that tastes like tough shoe leather. On the positive side, it’s a decent spot for drinks.
I visited this restaurant for the first time after several coworkers recommended it for its great food. I decided to try the big burger with seasoned fries, and they were absolutely right—the burger was massive and delicious, and the fries were excellent as well. The drinks were affordable, and the bartender was friendly and charming. The food came out quickly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, it's one of the best spots for good food in the area. However, I do think they should offer yellow mustard; I might just bring my own next time since they only have brown mustard.
