Hotel Allen - NORTH WARD

Food was good. Barman was great. Waitress was rude, abrupt and in the wrong industry. If you dont like people, dont work in a people job. Made the whole night tense and unenjoyable. Never again to the Allen.

Meals and service is very good. Food is well presented. Parking is good. Selection for this venue is very good.

Had an evening meal here. Food was good staff are very accommodating. Unfortunately some of the blackboard specials were sold out which was a little disappointing but still had plenty to select from. Cherry ripe cheesecake was superb.

Swung by the bistro for a quick dinner as The Allen was around the corner from our accom. Great staff with usual bistro fare on the menu; we chose the miso kingfish special with rice, teriyaki sauce & gingered greens. Fish was cooked well but still had a big bloodline on it & teriyaki sauce was cold from the fridge, otherwise a tasty pub meal that came out quickly, was hot & served with aplomb

Dropped in for dinner and stayed till stumps, great pub food and lashing of it, Clean neat and the beer is cold, The Pub has been a stalwart in North Ward Townsville for many years and now with the new apartments across the road in the old Townsville Hospital redevelopment the pub is once more becoming more popular. They have the smoker far enough away so they don’t stink out the place. Good TAB and pokie area well away from us normal people.
