Unfortunately, there were no menus in the restaurant either, so while I waited in the car, my partner had to take a picture of the menu and bring it out to me. We ordered our usual favorites, the pathia and Balti, but we had to wait 40 minutes for our food. When we finally got home, we found that the papadoms were stale and my mushroom Balti was the blandest I have ever tasted. It lacked mushrooms and had no spice at all. My garlic naan barely had any garlic on it, just a few sprinkles around the edge. I miss the high quality of takeaways in Birmingham, something that cannot be found in Atherstone. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
The service at this restaurant is excellent and very professional, with great flavors on their menu. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, definitely give it a try. Thank you for a wonderful meal.
I visited this restaurant with friends in May. I had been here before, but it had been a long time. We decided to forgo starters and just get curry, rice, and naan for our main course. I ordered a madras, which was spicy but the meat seemed bland and lacked marination. The sauce was simple and spicy, with no noticeable garlic or ginger flavors. It seemed like a generic sauce with added chili powder. My wife tried a mixed bhuna, which was very tasty and I would probably order that next time. The rice and naan were standard. The staff was friendly. Overall, if not for the dish my wife had, this review would have been a 2.
We went early from work were placed in the window seat which was a bit cramped. The food came in a timely manner but all of the dishes lacked depth of flavour or any real sense of delicate spicing. It was all rather okay. Oddly as the only customers over two hours we felt a little like they were keen we left. As far as we could see there were no deliveries and definitely no collections so it was a very quiet night. The restaurant needs refreshing I was glad to be with work colleagues rather than my wife (though the coworker who booked us in was off sick). Unlikely to return.
Good value set meal for two, including a pint and a couple of cokes was only £34. Nice calm atmosphere with friendly staff. Tasty delicious food . Recommended the two course set includes paoadums so is 3 courses really
