Alma’s Vintage Sandwich And Cake Shop

This restaurant is a good option if you're looking for a bacon butty. However, we were disappointed that there was no non-dairy milk alternative available and no gluten-free options for either cake or hot food. The sausage in the sausage bap seemed to be of low quality. It was also disheartening to see cakes pre-packaged under the counter, giving the impression that they were made days ago. During our visit, a customer stopped by on a bike ride but left empty-handed as he had no cash. These issues may prevent us from returning to this restaurant for some time.

I visited this restaurant to take advantage of the growing popularity of tea rooms and cakes. It is a very charming place with a focus on appealing to women. The menu offers a good selection of food, although I wasn't a fan of the pre-portioned and pre-packaged cakes. The staff were very friendly.

We have been visiting Alma’s since it opened nearly 4 years ago. The staff are really friendly and honestly can’t do enough for you when you visit. The menu is really varied and the children’s selection is fab. My own children love the sandwich platter which comes with crisps, cake and they usually choose a milkshake which goes down a treat and excellent value for money considering it’s not much more expensive than a happy meal at McDonald’s. We look forward to many more happy visits in the future!

I love the vintage style here and the whole ambience is just lovely. Very friendly service and good food . What’s not to love .

This charming café in Coalville is currently very popular and definitely worth a visit. The cakes are delicious, the staff is friendly, and the décor is wonderful. Forget about going to Costa, support this independent café instead!
