La Zouch - North West Leicestershire

I was introduced to La Zouch by a friend who knew of my interest in whisky. I attended a whisky tasting at La Zouch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, getting to sample some very special whiskies. I learned a lot from Geoff and Lynne, who are very knowledgeable about single malts. After attending two tasting sessions with them, I gained a deeper appreciation for high-quality whisky and became more adventurous in exploring and understanding different types. Recently, I visited La Zouch to purchase a rare whisky, and had a great time chatting with Geoff and Lynne, as well as their staff, in their charming and historic establishment. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable, including other customers. I highly recommend La Zouch for all whisky enthusiasts.

Absolutely super selection of tee and coffee. reasonable, great traditional service. a series of cakes, sandwiches, etc. beautiful place. they can eat in their pleasant backland garden when the weather is beautiful.

I spent a perfect afternoon in la zouch with my neighbor. we've been over tea and cake, a simple pleasure we couldn't do during the closing. a large selection of cakes to choose from. I recommend the coffee and walnut cake....big service also.

My neighbor and I had a lovely time at this restaurant yesterday. After eighteen months of sneaky and socially distanced conversations over the fence and through the bins, we had promised ourselves a meal at La Zouch once restrictions were lifted. We were not disappointed. While other customers enjoyed tea and cake or selected special bottles of wine, we appreciated the peaceful and cozy ambiance. It was perfect for us to enjoy our two pots of tea. Thank you.

I have been living in Ashby for years and am just minutes away from this restaurant. My friend and I went for lunch (she goes there regularly) and we were blown away by the experience. I tried the vegetarian salad (even though I'm not a vegetarian) and a side order of the most incredible chips. The service was excellent and the back area was perfect for a cigarette break. As a single woman, I felt very comfortable dining alone at a table. They have a great selection of wines, gins, and other drinks. The atmosphere is old-fashioned but in a fantastic way.
