Contribuisci feedbackI went for early Dim Sum with some relatives this morning at this Chinese restaurant in Bamburgh Circle. They recommended this place because they have a special where every Dim Sum entree is charged as a small item when you are seated before 10am. This was too good of a deal to turn down. Before even taking a bite out of anything, the first thing I noticed was that their tea was really good. Very strong and sets the mood for Dim Sum. We proceeded to order BBQ Pork Buns, Chinese Sausage Buns, Curry Squid, Shrimp Dumplings, Beef Rice Roll, Fish Congee, and Pan Fried Green Onion Pancake. Everything was well done and freshly presented. The Congee as everyone agreed was really low on fish (high on MSG) and the easily the weakest item that we ordered today. Otherwise, Dim Sum for four people for under $30 was a steal. The decor is above average compared to other Dim Sum restaurants in Scarborough.
It’s a decently sized restaurant and there were lots of people here for dim sum. I really appreciated their service here as I found the staff to be courteous and more polite than some other Chinese dim sum restaurants.
I went to there after 1:30pm and almost half empty. I ordered 2 dim sum and the quality is average. The service is fine. However, the price is at high end and not worth based on the food quality.<br/ <br/ It is better to go there before 11am as all dim sum (L/M/S) are $2.9.
The dim sum here is delicious. There is care put into the presentation of the dishes. I enjoy the flavour of each dish because it tastes authentic without too much sodium. Their signature baked barbecue pork bun is amazing! The pastries and egg tarts are crispy and flaky. The skins on the dumplings are perfectly chewy and they don't tear apart when you pick them up with your chopsticks. <br/ <br/ The prices are on the higher end. For dim sum, all the s/m/l dishes are only $2.90 before 11:00AM every day. At dinner, it definitely feels more like fine dining as you are treated with table side service and personally served every dish.
