Unfortunately upon our arrival the chef was cutting his TOE nails in the kitchen which faces the entrance of the restaurant. Because of this we obviously did not try the food or ever will.
I live down the street, and I eat here often, the food is amazing, I’ve tried all their types of chicken and there best type of chicken is the seasoned chicken. Thats the chicken I recommend if its your first time going here. (I’m only comparing chicken to chicken, I never eaten their ramen or other menu options) I stopped going here because the price used to be 30 dollars for a whole seasoned chicken breast and they upped the price to 40 dollars. I used to eat here everyday but I only come here on occasion now because of that, or when I’m on a diet. And when I do go here I only come here alone and get half a seasoned chicken breast because I can’t afford a whole chicken breast for both me and brother anymore.
Small place in the neighborhood, but food is very good! Used to be a fish and chips restaurant, now they are serving Korean fry chicken!
The Best Fried Chicken in the GTA and Maybe in All of CanadaThis small, unassuming restaurant in a little strip mall is the ultimate hidden gem. The main attraction is their Korean style fried chicken, which comes in 6 different versions, ranging from mild, but flavourful, to their fiery Buldak Chicken, which I had. My wife had the Garlic Chicken, and the chicken in both dishes was super crispy, incredibly moist, and an absolute flavour bomb. A few years ago we ate at Willie Mae’s in New Orleans, which has been specializing in fried chicken since 1957, and was selected by the Food Network as having America’s best fried chicken. It definitely was very good, but the chicken at Omy is better. If you love fried chicken, you owe it to your taste buds to eat here. They also have great fish chips and burgers, and their onion rings are fantastic. I take food very seriously, so please believe me when I tell you you’ll love the food at Omy, especially the chicken.
