There were a lot of shelves that were empty. While some areas were nicely merchandised others seemed left to be empty. Maybe not much business here on the weekend? Certainly clean and there were staff around, no one acknowledged us or greeted us. As a high end grocery retailer I would have expected that from the staff. Prices were high but they are associated with Saks after all. I felt this space could have been better executed. I focused my photos on the positive areas and not the empty ones, but you lost a star for empty shelves and unengaged staff.
An impeccably merchandised food hall that is a feast for the eyes, and will have you drooling at every corner. A wonderful selection of prepared foods, and groceries. The most intriguing thing in the store was the 'vegetable butcher '. Leave your veggies at the station and they will peel and chop them while you finish off your shopping.
Wide range of food items both cooked and uncooked. A bit pricy but it's totally worth the extra dolly. They have a great ranch of pastries and all sorts of cakes that baked fresh everyday. I highly recommend
We ate at The Carbon Snack Bar...tucked away in the corner of the foodhall. Had quite possibly the best burger I've had in a long time called Meat Your Maker, and a very tasty smoked brisket reuben with a hearty portion of fries. I hope more people patronize this hidden gem.
Lots of variety and lovely display. Remember to pass by and look around for unique items. Over 20 variety of soy sauce. If you need a great souvenir, they have Canadian maple syrup in maple leaf bottles.
