I had never eaten anything from this region before, and I was thoroughly impressed. Through a seemingly endless stretch of strip malls in North York, you'll discover a vibrant oasis of Central Asian delights. The restaurant features intricate designs on the deck and beautiful wall paintings, creating a warm atmosphere where you can indulge in generous portions of favorites like cheburek (fried dumplings) and ajarsky (cheese and egg bread). The service is wonderful, provided by the owners who hail from Azerbaijan and have brought the flavors of their homeland to life. When you visit this chaihana, you truly feel like you’re transported to Central Asia, and it’s just a short subway ride from downtown Toronto!
We drive all the way from montreal to toronto to eat their delicious meals! as someone who comes from the same background, eating is so good (if not better) then what she would get home. the owners are the sweetest couple ever, and even remembered my birthday and bought a cake when we came back a week later, when we came back through toronto on our way to home. eating is by far the best I've ever eaten. recommend all suppening, mantis and their lambs, as well as their homemade brot and wangekis. 10/10 eating, and amazing owners. would recommend to everyone!
I can definitely vouch for the chicken fingers and chicken burgers! The food quality is excellent.
Amitié Café is located on the ground floor of an office building next to a criminal courthouse. Their work is efficient and clean. They make good sandwiches and breakfast. During lunch hour, they have bulgogi rice, sushi and salads. They also have daily specials and a large variety of snacks.
