Fun bar with a nice vibe. Food was really enjoyable, the cocktails were great and the staff were really kind.Only setbacks were they were out some flavors of soju and the seafood pancake was slightly underwhelming. The fried chicken, pork trotters with cheese and marinated pork jowl were easily my favorites. This bar is definitely a little more on the expensive side but in my opinion was worth the money. My friends all enjoyed themselves here!
Anju was definitely worth the visit. I took a bunch of my non-Korean friends to Anju. Some of them were even new to Canada. Although we were a big group of twelve people, the server kindly and efficiently took us to the right seat where we could all sit together comfortably and amiably. As the Korean food guide of the night, I asked for the help from the server and she was ready to give us the best recommendations. With her help, we ordered some popular Korean classics such as Korean chicken, grilled intestines, beef tartare, gochujang pork belly, summer classic whelk noodle, assorted Korean Jeon"s, spicy rice cake (teokbokki), and more. All of the foods were extremely good. Among us, there was a Korean guy who recently came to Toronto from Korea and even he approved how good Anju's dishes were. The beautiful server lady really took care of us kindly and patiently that we could have a great time together. If you are looking for a good place to drink along with some delicious Korean classics, Anju is the place to be.
Great place hanging out w friends and having some nice drinks. Food was special. Great service of the staff who found my ring!!! Thanks?
The prices here have become excessively expensive compared to before, making it no longer worth the visit. We've been coming for many years, but now the prices have more than doubled, and the portion sizes are noticeably smaller. Last time, we went as a group of five and spent around $450 for very little food. We've since switched to a different Korean bar that offers much fairer prices, better service, and tastier dishes. They also request extra tips if we leave what they consider a normal amount, but I can understand they're trying to recover lost revenue from the pandemic. Still, it's poor management practice.
