I am downgrading this restaurant to three stars due to ongoing problems with gift cards. Their machines do not scan cards from outside stores, such as Shoppers, and an employee was unwilling to manually enter the card number until I insisted. This was an unpleasant experience. Additionally, they served me a fizzy apple juice, which is strange considering their root beer and other sodas are often flat. They also refused to provide me with a proper carrying bag for my items, citing it was only for deliveries. While this may be policy, it is not fair to takeout customers. Overall, A&W is a decent option in the area, and despite issues with flat soda and gift cards, the staff have always tried to help. It seems that many problems with A&W franchises stem from a lack of support and training at the corporate level. A&W is one of the pricier but higher quality fast food choices in Canada, with reliable service and good hours. Stick to classic items like burgers, onion rings, and fries, as their limited time and newer menu items, such as chicken burgers, can be disappointing.
This Japanese twist on pasta is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it if you're in the area. The restaurant has plenty of seating available.

Stopped by early evening. Low key restaurant and very quiet. This location has a BREW BAR Most locations don't, so that alone raises the rating. The Root beer sweet cream milkshakes are great, so it's a shame they're not carried everywhere.
