Grill Gate - North York

Grill Gate served delicious food, had a clean environment, and featured friendly staff, which made our visit truly enjoyable. Both the Philly Steak I ordered and the healthy options like salad and steak that my wife tried were excellent choices.

I always drive past this place but i didnt really like the way the photos looked lol. Yes yes i know. Dont judge a book by its cover. Boy was I so wrong. The burgers are so delicious!!! The fries were delicious!! The onion rings were superb. I would go back again.I ordered the spicy mushroom cheeseburger. Heaven. It was so juicy and the amount of cheese on there was ?. I think they even torched the cheese!! My burger was amazing. The only issue i had with the burger which isn’t even really an issue is they only have 8oz burgers. Go with a big appetite. Its worth it!The fries were fresh and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.The drinks were your run of the mill pop selection.I think you order at the counter. Thats what we did. Then find your seat.GO TRY THIS PLACE NOW!!

I went to the restaurant and ordered a Philly cheese steak sanwich. The lady at the counter taking the order was very unfriendly and rude. I expected to get a Philly Cheese steak sandwich but what I got didn't resemble anything of that sort. The bun looked like something bought in a supermarket. It was u toasted. The meat was minced with a mushy texture. No caramelized onions on top as expected. Tasted nothing like a Philly sandwich. Very meh. I felt very ripped off as the price with fries and a drink and tax was $27. For far less you can get the real thing thing elsewhere.

I was in the area looking for some well reviewed restaurants in the area on google Maps, and Grill Gate immediately attracted my intention. I'm not from the area, but if I ever am, I'm definitely going back to this establishment. So I had the classic Philly cheese steak sandwich. It was insanely good ! Love the idea how they took this deliciously large soft bread roll put a hole in it and then stuffed it to the bone with Philly cheee steak goodness ! I did order extra sauce, hot sauce, and cheese, which just made it even better. They have tons of other great stuff on their menu too. The place is also very clean with a nice atmosphere for a small place. There is seating to dine in. Another thing I thought was really nice was that each table had a bottle of hand sanitizer for their customers. I know some people may not care, but i did as it's a nice touch I haven't seen anywhere else. Also want to thank the owner for making sure their staff is well trained. The girl there had to handle my food after the fact it was done and boxed as I wanted it wrapped in foil. She put in gloves before she handled my food again. Love it!
