The chicken karage made me nauseous, and the Katsu was very dry. Drink pricing is alright and average. Service was kind of slow at times especially if you are tucked into the corner boothsWheelchair accessibility: It is not wheelchair accessible
Surprisingly good Japanese (I would not consider it a true izakaya, as there are no skewers). We had randomly chosen this place as it had space at the time we wanted to eat, and it was a good choice!Lots of variety and I can't say a single dish we chose was bad. They were all seasoned and cooked well, not too strong on any one flavour or spice. Normally, I find mackerel too fishy, but this was spot on. Really pleasant to eat. Loved the salmon, which is also not something I usually say at Japanese restaurants. Tako wasabi was good too. The tartare was a weak spot.Cocktails are pretty weak, but there is a good sake list with decent prices. Really helpful guides on choosing the right sake.Service was efficient and fast, and we were never left searching or waiting.I'm surprised it wasn't busier because it actually was the best place we visited in the area.
Came here on a Friday. Pitchers were 30% off.Food was ok. Service was a little delayed although there were only 2 waiters working. We got a dozen oysters which tasted fresh, fries (tasted like good old cafeteria fries! , tonkatsu (was ok , salmon roll sushi (was good , karage (was average , sashimi platter (tasted fresh and their grilled salmon gill/cheek (was good Overall it was a fun and hip Japanese Tapa place just service was a little slow.Price point is fair , for all those dishes 2 pitchers it was about $350
Don't order cod, the menu is misleading. The food takes forever to come.
I go here often, the beer and drinks are good. The food is surprisingly amazing as well, 100% recommend.
