I ordered from Uber Eats and my beef soup was terrible. It had almost an entire chopped carrot, a small piece of cassava, no corn, and a large piece of meat. It was the worst soup I've ever had.
The food was very good as good portions for our family. Our food was warm and delivered in a decent time frame. We will certainly order from them again.
I really enjoy their pupusas because they are filled generously with cheese, which enhances the flavor. I usually order pupusas for lunch, as they are my favorite. The restaurant tends to be busy, so I recommend ordering ahead for pickup or dining in. I like to place my order while driving so that I don't have to wait too long when I arrive.
This no-frills restaurant is tucked in a strip mall between a supermarket, a Pho soup spot and a nail salon but is well worth scouting down if you love Latin American cuisine. We arrived in the early afternoon on a Saturday and were a bit...worried we might not get a table as the place was packed with people. But the server quickly found us seats and was back to take our order in a flash. We ordered pupusas with beans and cheese as well as cheese and loroco a flowering vine that's not often seen in Toronto) as appetizers followed by caldo de res soup and carne asado. The food arrived quickly and was both hot and delicious. Portions were enormous and the grilled beef came with handmade corn tortillas, refried beans, a chunk of white cheese, a huge salad with avocado as well as Spanish rice and caramelized plantain. Our drinks were housemade horchata and agua de Jamaica. We couldn't actually finish it all and the waitress kindly packed it up for us to go. This place is spotless, the service is excellent and although it's no frills in terms of decor, it is very tidy, has friendly staff and is deservedly very popular among locals. Highly recommended if you're looking for authentic traditional Salvadoran or Guatemalan) cuisine in Toronto.
