Tilal Bakery - North York

When I discovered this Iranian bakery, quality of chicken shawarma, other small veg and non-veg snacks are reasonable priced. Taste quality is best quality.I have been going there every week now they have increased chicken pockets baked near to the shawarma station increased from $2 then $2.75 to $3.75 on 24 May 2023. That's why I don't like about Indian or mid eastern establishments, just bcoz you had reasonable price, customers were coming ,chicken shawarma was $6.50 , today may 24th 2023 is $7.50. So instead of 2 qty, I got 1 nos. Please we would be your loyal customers as people have lost their jobs and Walmart and other retails have increased milk, breads and eggs cost skyrocketing...now local biz have increased too. Not sure how much they are paying their own staff. Instead of every week, I will be there once in 2 months or so. Their beef slim bread is going slimmer from size 3 to size zero. Lol, the whole bread pack of 2 of beef on top is $5.shocking !!

Expensive. At lunch time they have very few people to serve at the take out food. So you pass more than 45 minutes waiting in turn to be served. Still you need to pay which they demand cash or you pay extra fees for credit card). So your lunch time is over and you go to work with your sandwiches with you.

I come here for the manakeesh, but to my surprise, their shawerma was the closest to authentic so far. It still bothers me that after years of searching, a bakery of all places, trumps most proper shawerma places out there. It's not perfect, but the flavor profile is there...Oh and yeah their cheese manakeesh are good, and priced more reasonably.

Very very slow the service took half hour to make ONE SANDWICH!! On top of all that waiting the sandwich was not even warm.

Food and service was great and always fresh , Highly recommended
