Sakura - Northampton

The food was excellent, the conversation was lively, and we had a great time! Our second visit was just as enjoyable, if not better, than the first.

We visited this restaurant using a Groupon deal. I had been there previously, so I knew what to expect. The food was delicious, and the staff were attentive. However, the restaurant was very cold. After finishing our meal, we noticed a service charge added to the bill. We preferred to leave a tip in cash at an amount we felt comfortable with, so we asked the waitress to remove the service charge. She informed us that we needed to speak to the manager about it, which made us feel uncomfortable. This experience has deterred me from returning to this restaurant. Additionally, we discovered upon leaving the car park that there is a charge, which was not clearly communicated upon entry. Unlike my previous visit, we were not instructed to input our registration details into a computer at the restaurant. When I contacted NCP the following day, they confirmed that my payment before midnight was sufficient as long as it covered the parking duration. It is disappointing that the pleasant food was overshadowed by the unpleasant reception at the end of the meal.

This visit to Sakura was very disappointing. When we arrived we commented on how cold the restaurant was. We were taken to a table and ignored for the first 10mins. A waitress then asked if we wanted a drink, we order then waited another 15mins for our drink. We then sat for at least 30mins before they asked what we wanted to eat. The starters were eventually bought to our table after another 20min wait, but part of our party had eaten their starter before the other half was delivered. We then sat for ages before the main meal was cooked, we had to ask if we were ever going to served. We won’t be visiting again any time soon

A very fun and entertaining evening. Staff are so friendly, patient and hard working. Delicious food and very accommodating. We had so much fun don’t think we wanted the evening to end! Thank you to you all

Nice Japanese Teppanyaki experience. Good selection of items on the menu. We had the Groupon vouchers (25per head) so had items available on that offer. Drinks and service charge of around £6 were extra. Nice sushi selection. Friendly staff. Good cooking by the chef. Overall a good experience. Make sure you register your car number on arrival with the manager
