A group of 8 of us met for lunch. Booking was straightforward and a reminder was received. Staff friendly and efficient, surroundings very pleasant. Good menu, I had the prawns in Panko with avocado on flatbread with a choice of skinny fries, chunky chips or soup, which was delicious. Good value, set to become a favourite.
The meal was mediocre considering the high price. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, but parking is limited. The staff is friendly and everything is pleasant, but we were not impressed with the food quality or the expensive drinks.
This was booked through my company as was doing training in the area and needed somewhere local! What an absolutely delightful little place!! The staff were friendly and attentive and the room (no4) was just perfect, everything I could possibly need for a one night stay! The food was delicious, I had pork loin and pork belly on the evening cooked to perfection! The breakfast the following morning was also delicious. Great place to stay with friendly staff comfy rooms and delicious food.
We had a party of 8 for afternoon tea. Upon booking, I requested a specific seating area as we tend to be a loud group and did not want to disturb other diners. We were seated in a cozy spot behind the bar with plenty of light and space, which was very nice. The amount of food provided was generous and we were all pleasantly stuffed by the end of the meal. Despite this, we still had leftovers which we were able to take home. The selection of food was lovely and catered to everyone's tastes. Our server, Jenny, was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We would definitely consider returning for either another tea or for dinner as the quality of the food was exceptional.
