On a hot summer night it was impossible to sit in the pub gardens, as the landlord allowed children from a table to round screams, screams and kicking a football over the garden. We moved tables to finish our drinks and when we...left, didn't say anything to the affected family, we were told by them with sarcastic remarks when we passed. The landlord did nothing. Really unpleasant and unproven. Instead, had a pleasant drink at Four Pears on the street. With this clientele we will not return and would not recommend this pub to everyone else. like a Wacky Warehouse.
For lunch. a lot of parking and in the pub it was very picturesque. One of the appetizers was the cheese dish. the taste of cheese was not particularly strong and the bread crumb was somewhat over boiled. I had the creamy mushrooms and that was very delicious. for...mostly we had the trio of fish cakes, unequivocally they were quite dry even though they came with a children's sauce. I had the steak and kidney pudding. It was really a sensational main everything was on pudding the chips, peas and gravy. we would definitely return only to have the pudding for lunch.
Really delicious Sunday lunch here, the slowly cooked steak was absolutely nice cooked and very tasty and my husband really enjoyed his traditional SUnday lunch tasty sweets too and friendly service we will definitely be back soon! Thank you. White hard
We were a group of 20 struggling to find a pub in Northampton who would welcome and host us before a football match at Sixfields. We are a mixed group from 20 to 70 and travel to many away games together. After contacting Traci at...the White Hart she booked us in without any hesitation and provided details in advance for us, re menu, ordering, parking etc. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and given our own space in the pub. The staff coped incredibly well with having to take table service only orders for both food and drink and then serving that number of people, particularly given nobody had bothered to order in advance and all the Covid restrictions. Whilst there was some natural delays because of this it did not cause any issues and we all really enjoyed our food and drinks, and above all really appreciated how we were looked after and welcomed. A huge thanks to all at the White Hart and as we won the match, it must be a lucky omen.
