Everything is a little crooked and poorly placed (light switches, cabinet doors, etc). Our ceiling leaked from AC units above us 3 different times. Maintenance seemed to do a quick patch/paint job overtop that never worked each time. I am also EXTREMELY disappointed with management. When we moved out this past May, we gave sufficient notice and did everything we were supposed to do. My roommate and I checked in with the leasing office separate times to make sure we were squared away with payments and the checking out process. The staff at the leasing office was friendly but clueless. They would redirect us to Megan who originally sat down with my roommate and went through our accounts and said we were good to go. Fast forward a month later, I get our security deposit back and see that they deducted money from our check. It took multiple emails and calls to even get back to Megan. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and Megan came off very avoidant and disorganized. I would not recommend anyone to live here.
Comfortable living with amazing management!! The units are well kept and have new appliances. Mine was very spacious for a 1 bedroom. And the location is great in a friendly neighborhood near parks and Trolley Square.Parq management helped me with everything I needed. Megan was amazing she knows residents by name and personally helped me resolve issues very fast. Jazzmine and Jesse were similarly responsive and helpful with anything I needed. Maintenance is also done very fast, sometimes they'd come within an hour of my request!I cannot recommend Parq at the Square enough. The location, the units, and the management are all amazing. From what I've seen they're the best apartments in Wilmington on all fronts.
My fiancé and I are looking to move into one of the units in this building. Jasmine Winslow helped us out with the application and everything, but in the end they said we were denied because my credit score didn’t meet the requirements and my credit score is over 700, they also said I didn’t meet the income requirement which is 3x the rent, I met that requirements with $900 to spare. We have no criminal records or convictions, were able to pay first last months rent on top of security deposit. they didnt not want to lease the apartment to us because they didn’t want some out of state residents moving in. Even jasmine confirmed that we were the first ones to apply to the apartment and that it was reserved to us. They just wanted the money that came with applying, jasmine said that my credit score and income were perfectly fine before they officially denied us. They just want the $50, do not lease from here.
I lived here for two years and moved out on 9/30/2020. Two good things: Location and neighborhoods are really nice. Maintenance requests are usually resolved in one day. However, after I moved out, they withheld $150 smoke odor treatment and $75 cleaning fee from my security deposit. The $75 cleaning fee is whatever but the $150 smoke odor really pisses me off because I DO NOT smoke at all. After I explained they still insist on charge me for it saying there are ash and dust. Yeah now that I moved out, they can say anything they want. Absolutely nonsense. If you are moving out make sure you take tons of pictures so they blame you for something they make up.
As they say, first impressions are lasting ones. From my initial contact with Amanda (amazing) in the leasing office to our move-in, Parq staff did not disappoint. In fact, we've lived here for over a month and they continue to impress us. Megan (manager), Amanda, Alissa, and Mark are all incredibly welcoming and helpful. The office is open 7 days a week and they always go above and beyond to answer any questions and ensure our Parq living experience is top-notch. The same can be said about the maintenance staff. They are fantastic We haven't had many issues, but whenever we have, they are resolved quickly via an online work order request through their resident portal. We receive text updates and often have a chance to speak with them personally. A giant shout-out to Louie (supervisor), Jack, Jacob, and Riley. The ac/heating system is a tad antiquated, but everything works. In fact, all utilities except cable are included in the monthly rent. There have also been lots of updates, including a new stove, oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. Bathroom showers have been re-done and there is an overall modern feel. We are former homeowners and have been thrilled with our new digs at Parq. Highly recommend.
