I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tranquil evening spot with the perfect Aussie cafe atmosphere. I absolutely loved it!
Busy cafe. Fairly good food and coffee. The only thing is that you can feel rushed out, when they are a busy. I sort of get it....but also, when you've only been there a little over an hour with a bunch of other people, it can seem a bit pushy. Would return, but only on quieter days, wouldn't make it a catch up place with people on weekends.
I have been to this cool little place twice now. They offer good and reasonably priced food. The cafe is located on a quiet street, but it is always bustling with activity. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. If you're looking for good food without the hassle of parking on a busy street, this restaurant is a great alternative.
We were shown to a nice seat in the courtyard near the heaters on a cold Melbourne morning. The wait staff were attentive and helpful while the food and coffee were amazing. Will definitely be making it back to try out some more dishes!
Pleasant surprise! <br/ What a great little cafe tucked away in Northcote.<br/ And it really does have a red door! <br/ <br/ The cafe is filled with their own products to buy which I think is a great idea. Things like Jam, eggs and milk. It’s ace. It’s not a big cafe, very compact but the courtyard outside and front space adds two outside seating areas for extra space! I really like the atmosphere it was just cute.<br/ <br/ I sat on a bench, to look out the front. I was given water and asked what drink I wanted straight away. Always big points for me there. <br/ <br/ The staff were really friendly and polite, another thing I always look for when brunching. <br/ <br/ I ordered the broccolini and sorghum salad. I have never had sorghum before but it was almost like a thicker quinoa. The portion size was fab! So many greens. It definitely wasn’t a poxy small salad. It was layered, well flavoured and tasty. <br/ The only thing I felt missing was maybe some sort of a kick of chilli or even some garlic. I wasn’t a big fan of the herb oil and the mint which really came through on the sorghum. But that’s just my tastebuds. And me trying to find a little<br/ Fault with such a tasty well presented dish! <br/ BOTH EGGS PERFECTLY POACHED. <br/ <br/ As I was paying I saw their wonderful baked goods cabinet. I got myself a salted caramel hazelnut cookie. Crunchy, chocolatey and oh so hazelnutty. Perfect. <br/ <br/ I loved my brunch, tasty, relaxing and all good vibes.<br/ <br/ 9/10
