Shoku iku - Northcote

A cute little vegan cafe in Northcote complete with hanging plants.

Great smoothies and delicious raw desserts! No air conditioning sadly but the cold delicious smoothies (of which there are many great sounding options)

A lovely little local on the boarder of Northcote and Westgarth, Shokuiku is well worth visiting, if only for the novelty of the raw vegan science

Popped in here as my cousin has many allergies and she wanted to try this cafe.I ordered the pancakes. They were not hot which wasn't made clear on the menu. I'm not sure the use of the word "pancake" is correct, as it conjures up an idea in your mind of what you will be getting. My advice - ask questions before you order.The dish was very rich and needed more orange in it too break it up a bit.Good little cafe, and proof that you can buy a Thermomix and start up a cafe with a small menu.Seating uncomfortable. Toilets outside and around the corner. Not great when it is raining.Won't race back, but wouldn't be too worried if I ended up back there.

Raw delicious food and drinks. Huge drinks board with so many options. Delicious cakes at the counter. Awesome superfoods bowls and the pancakes and AMAZING activated nutella just top off a well planned and delicious shop. Defiantly my favourite in Melbourne!
