Cakewalk - Northfield

Amazing cupcakes and great service. Worth every penny. The worst part is just choosing which one to get.

Teara and her team at Cakewalk were stellar to work with for our wedding cake! Truly the hardest part of the whole process was deciding which flavors to choose for our cake because they were all so good! Teara provided guidance in making decisionsregarding how much would be needed to feed our guests, and how best to create the design we wanted for our three-tier cake. Myhusband and I were not at all upset to take home the leftover pieces at the end of the night!

Everything here is delicious but I made this review with the sole purpose of advertising their strawberry cheesecake cupcake omg. I don't really like cupcakes, but I check their Facebook page every week to see if they have it. If they made it a staple in the case, I'd probably be there every day. Look at their Facebook or stop by and if you see a large cupcake smothered in not too sweet mascarpone frosting, dusted with graham cracker, with a large juicy glazed strawberry on top, GET IT. It's the only decent piece of fruit you'll find at any restaurant in Northfield. My roommate loves the chocolate salted caramel cupcake, and pretty much anything from here is great. Service is quick and prices are great, especially on student discount day!

I've been to Here Here twice now and I'm still disappointed. Probably won't be going back. The portions are incredibly small for the amount they charge and they're just not that flavourful. The frosting Is completely flavorless and the cupcakes or baked goods Just don't have that moist wonderful flavor inside them. I'm not sure what they're doing but they're definitely not a good rich flavor like they should be.
