It's family-owned, and the chef/owner, Emanuel, is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has worked at some notable restaurants in Long Island. The cozy space has around six tables and a long bar, with soft jazz music playing in the background, creating a lovely atmosphere for a quiet evening. The staff is exceptional, making you feel like part of the family. They offer incredible daily specials, with steaks and seafood as their highlights. The lobster bisque was outstanding, and the Napoleon and cannoli for dessert were also delightful. We will definitely be returning!
Very impressed by this jewel of the restaurant. Small interior 6 tables and a long bar attractively furnished. Muted Lighting and Soft 'light Jazz' Music served as background music. Service was friendly and efficient. The attention to detail in the food presentation was the sign of the creative cook to see pictures. Crab Cake had generous portions of actual lump scrap, and not the broken crab found elsewhere. Buffalo Mozzarella with tomatoes has tomatoes at the peak of their season. Although Steak is the main attraction here, we chose the fish and pasta entrees. Halibut on a bed of wheat berry and haricot Verts was beautifully done. The Juwelelli in the Edelsteinelli Primavera was fresh pasta with an assortment of chopped vegetables, including the hard to find Romanesco Broccoli. We finished the meal by using an espresso infused chocolate mousse. Excellent. The tab for all this, including a bottle of wine, was about $150. Maybe seem expensive, but the quality of food made it right below cheap...
Our table took a bit longer to be ready than expected, but we had the pleasure of chatting with the bartender, who was both brilliant and entertaining. The host was friendly and kept us informed throughout our wait. One of the best aspects of this restaurant is its spaciousness; the ambient noise is low enough that you can actually have a conversation with your date without having to raise your voice. That deserves 6 stars on its own! The food was cooked to perfection, reasonably priced, and there was a decent variety of options considering the restaurant's size. Overall, it was a fantastic meal with super helpful and friendly staff—everything was truly excellent. Delicious!
I've dined at Emanuel several times, and I've never been disappointed. It's the perfect setting for a date night, complete with fantastic service and a delicious menu. The crab cake is definitely one of my absolute favorites, and the steak for two is excellent as well. I also enjoyed the seasonal pumpkin soup, which was a delightful treat. I can't wait to experience this joy again! Be sure to let them know Monica sent you!
We are locals in the neighborhood for the past 40+ years. My wife and I noticed the restaurant driving down 25a and I am so happy that we found this gem of a restaurant. I can’t even remember the last time I have seen Dover Sole on a menue. Our wonderful waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the different types of fish and she steered my towards the Dover Sole and I was not only impressed by the taste but how well the chef Was able to fillet such a difficult flat fish. If you don’t like fish don’t worry because there are plenty of other mouth watering dishes to choose from. The excellent service made the food that much better. Our server Maria was always attentive and extremely delightful. It’s a classy place and we can’t wait to return in the near future. I will definitely be spreading the word to all my friends and families near and far since places like these are hard to come by. Thank you Maria and Chef Emanuel for a wonderful experience!!!
