The quality of food at this Chinese takeaway has noticeably declined in recent weeks. While it used to be excellent, our meal tonight was delivered late, cold, the chips tasted like they were from McDonald's, and it was quite expensive. The overall standard of the meal was far below what I would expect from this establishment. We will not be returning.
We have used this takeaway while travelling before, so we decided to give it another try. However, when we received our food, we ordered spare ribs without sauce, but to our surprise, the chef decided to put gravy on them. Gravy on spare ribs? How unusual. We did not complain at the time because we would have had to travel all the way back to do so. Unfortunately, we felt that this was a waste of money as we ended up throwing the food straight in the bin.
With 40 years of experience, this restaurant continues to serve top-notch oriental cuisine under the original founder's ownership. The service is excellent and the food consistently high quality.
This is the farthest from a Chinese takeout I have ever experienced. The "Spicy" King Po Chicken was surprisingly sweet and lacked any spice. The mixed curry was mediocre at best. The noodles were extremely dry. I won't be returning.
