The Coach House - Northumberland

Our two-night stay at this restaurant was amazing. Located in a wooded area with beautiful views, the clean rooms were more than satisfactory. The host, Paul, was exceptional. He was very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that my partner and I received top-notch service throughout our stay. It was truly fantastic.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night using a Groupon voucher purchased for our anniversary. Our experience was the worst we have ever had at a hotel. The accommodation was dirty and in terrible condition. The entire hotel is in need of renovation. The food was awful, despite being labeled as a "taster menu." Even though my wife had informed them that she was a vegetarian when booking our stay and reminded them before our arrival, they still forgot about her dietary requirements. The response from the kitchen staff to their mistake was disappointing. The person who checked us out was extremely rude. He tried to charge us for a complimentary bottle of Prosecco that was left in our room with a note for our anniversary. He also tried to charge us a £20 admin fee, claiming our Groupon voucher did not cover Friday or Saturday night stays, which was untrue. The windows were rotting, the heating system was inadequate, and the en suite bathroom seemed unsafe with exposed electric cables and a malfunctioning extractor fan. Despite emails to the hotel about these issues, we have received no response. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel.

We went as a couple with our little corgi. The staff were super attentive, couldn't have asked for better. The food drinks were excellent. Strongly recommend the white chocolate espresso martini the lamb shoulder dish. Will definitely return.

I recently stayed at this restaurant for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. The room was comfortable, clean, with lovely fluffy towels and nice toiletries. The dining experience was exceptional, with fabulous original dishes that were cooked and presented beautifully. The area has lots to offer and Teighlor, a lovely lady, provided us with interesting information and suggestions throughout our stay. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning in the future.

The menu had a good variety of choices. I chose the Confit of Lamb Shoulder, exceptional flavour and melt in the mouth. This review would have been 5 star but my husbands Sea Bass was a little over cooked. Vegetables were very good, nicely al dente. The Staff however, last evening 3rd of July, were first class, warm, friendly and all about making diners welcome and totally happy to be in thier company.
