The Drift Cafe - Northumberland

Very dog friendly with an excellent range of food and drinks, extremely welcoming staff and a magnificent beach just across the road. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will certainly be back.

We traveled from Amble for breakfast, but due to a flooded road, we had to walk along the beach to reach the restaurant. The owner kindly offered us a lift in his 4x4, but our dog wanted to continue on to the beach. The breakfast was great and definitely worth the drive. Would recommend to others.

There are too many dogs at this restaurant. The food is good and the service is great, but the number and size of dogs is becoming a problem. Yesterday, a dog the size of a small pony stuck its face onto my wife's part of the table, which we found unhygienic and unacceptable. We will not be coming back.

The Drift is a charming café with ample seating indoors and outdoors, where dogs are welcome if kept on a leash and under the table. My husband and I enjoyed hot drinks and a slice of cake each - I loved the large piece of Victoria sponge, and my husband savored his Mars Bar rice crispy slice. We will definitely be back!

Dog friendly cafe plenty of seating had a pork stottie never heard of one never eaten one found it really delicious.Really friendly staff waiting on and behind counter. Saw the cakes on display and had to get takeaway my partner had carrot cake which he really enjoyed and I had key lime pie which was to die for.
