The staff is friendly and attentive in a cozy country pub atmosphere. They offer a selection of quality real ales from the local First and Last brewery. Conveniently located near Wallington National Trust and Belsay Hall English Heritage.
We stopped by this friendly and welcoming pub for a pint after a walk from Middleton to Shaftoe Crags and back. The beers from First Last Brewery were in great condition. Highly recommended.
After enjoying a delicious roast at Ox in the past, we decided to bring some friends who had never been before. The beer was excellent and the atmosphere was lively, but unfortunately, the roast did not meet our expectations this time. We were disappointed, especially since we had recommended the restaurant to our friends. We hope that this was just a one-time occurrence and that our next visit will be back to the usual standard. On the bright side, the beer was still great and the location is lovely. Despite this experience, we plan to return in the future.
