The Christmas holidays are a wonderful time to spend with family and friends, right? Not if you're dining at Frankie and Bennys. When we ordered our meals, we were asked about food allergies and intolerances. I mentioned that I am allergic to chili. Our waiter assured us that the kitchen would be informed of my allergy, so we proceeded to order. However, when my "mac and cheese" arrived piping hot, I tested it and immediately felt my tongue tingle and swell. Panicked, I reached for water on the table. Some members of our group asked to speak to the manager to inquire about the ingredients. The manager took a while to return and explained that my meal indeed contained chili, as they had to retrieve the packaging from the bin to check. When asked why this wasn't checked beforehand, their response was that they don't check specific labels but adhere to the 14 allergy-specific foods guideline.
There were so many exciting new options to choose from, including 2 new burgers, chicken less nuggets, ain’t no chicken Parmesan, 2 pizzas, a vegan hot dog and vegan garlic bread! Fantastic to see a chain offering so many vegan items
Frankie and benny’s have so vegan many options. Garlic bread with vegan mozzarella is a must. But also the sauces that come with food is really tasty!!!
Its great to see chain restaurants adding vegan dishes to their menu. At Frankie Benny's they offer a couple of pasta dishes and pizzas for vegans. They also offer meat free burgers for vegetarians.
